Summer hoops, speed, agility testing camps scheduled

PeakSpeed summer speed and agility camps at Anytime Fitness are offering a free speed and agility test day for any age basketball players.

 

The testing will include standardized tests used in the 2012 NBA pre-draft Combine camp: 1) three-quarter court sprint; 2) lane agility drill; 3) vertical jump test; and 4) strength test. 

 

Re-testing will be offered at the end of summer to measure progress.

 

The program is free and open to all ages. The first testing is 3-5 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Anytime Fitness Group training facility, 10131 Old Olympic Highway, Sequim. Call 683-4110.


PeakSpeed camps for youths on tap

PeakSpeed camps at Anytime Fitness will be offering summer programs for young athletes ages 8 and older. The camp focuses on sport-specific speed and agility training for all sports. The fee includes up to 10 sessions in July on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, along with two Saturday morning workouts.
