KSQM-FM celebrates pet lovers week

Through Saturday, KSQM 91.5 FM will again salute pets and the people who love them. The 4th Annual KSQM Pet Lovers Week will feature special programming including great animal stories, pet information and crazy animal tunes.

A highlight of the week will be on Saturday, Aug. 4, when more than 20 local businesses and nonprofits will be at the Sequim Costco from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. to raise awareness of the important role pets can play in people’s lives. Booths will showcase opportunities for learning about pet adoption, grooming, training, supplies, health and nutrition.

During Pet Lovers Week, for every $10 in contributions made to KSQM, KSQM will give a pound of pet supplies to local agencies that focus on animal adoptions. This year the agencies include Welfare for Animals Guild (WAG), Peninsula Friends of Animals (PFOA), Olympic Peninsula Humane Society and Center Valley Animal Rescue. The public is invited to bring their pets and stop by the station during regular business hours throughout the event for tours, pet memberships and donations.
