Meowgaritas and Mutts auction to feature one-of-a-kind Items
Port Angeles, WA ( April 16, 2013) -- Meowgaritas and Mutts, a dinner and auction benefiting the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society (OPHS) will feature at least one item in its live auction that is truly unique.
A tour for four of Pixar Studios located in Emeryville, California, will be the highlight of the event's live auction. Pixar does not allow public tours of its facility, however, our donor was able to arrange for the tour through her contacts at Pixar. The package also includes two nights at an area hotel.
The winning bidder and his/her guests will have the rare and unique opportunity to witness the inner workings of Pixar Animation Studios and be among the first to see original artwork from Pixar's latest film, "Monsters University" which will be released on June 21.
Tickets are $50 per person, $400 for a table of eight. The event will feature a Mexican dinner along with both a silent and live auction. Cocktails and the silent auction begin at 5:30 with dinner following at 6:30. All proceeds benefit the Humane Society's building fund.
Auction items will gladly be accepted at the shelter during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
For more information or to reserve seats, call the Humane Society at 360-457-8206.
OPHS purchased 9.5 acres in October on Old Olympic Highway between Port Angeles and Sequim. The three modular buildings currently on the property will be used to house cats, administration and veterinary services. However, a dog kennel facility must be built before the organization can move to the new location. Cost of the facility is estimated at $1 million.
The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society has maintained an active presence in the community since 1947. The Society shelters and cares for animals of all types. A private, non-profit corporation, the Society is financed primarily by private donations and gifts. No animals are turned away and annually 2500-3000 animals pass through the doors of the facility. For more information or to volunteer, please call the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society at 360-457-8206.
