Spring sounds highlight Backyard Birding class

The Saturday, May 18, Backyard Birding class presents “Enjoying Spring Sounds,” with Dow Lambert and Ken Wiersema, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Dungeness River Audubon Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim.
The video, slide and sound program includes new recordings of local birds to help attendees recognize backyard and neighborhood birds by their calls.
Families and individuals are invited to attend any Backyard Birding sessions. There is a $5 fee for those over 18 years.
A free year’s membership in OPAS is offered to those who have completed five classes.
Ken Wiersema presents the final class in the series, “Birds Out of the Nest,” on Saturday, June 8.
