Roadwork near Lake Crescent may delay travelers

Motorists traveling on East Beach Road and Lyre River Road along the north shore of Lake Crescent may encounter delays of up to 20 minutes as crews resurface two short segments of road on Tuesday, Aug. 20, Olympic National Park officials announced.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. and continue until about 4:30 p.m.

Crews will patch the roadways to provide a smoother and safer ride for motorists.

Motorists are advised to slow down, drive with caution and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices.
