ONP offers fee-free weekend

In recognition of U.S. military veterans, Olympic National Park, along with all other national park service areas, will waive entrance fees for all visitors this Veterans Day weekend, from Nov. 9-11. Other park fees, including wilderness camping and campground fees, will remain in effect.

“Olympic National Park is among our country’s most awe-inspiring and treasured places,” said Olympic National Park Superintendent Sarah Creachbaum. “We invite our neighbors and visitors to visit the park this Veterans Day weekend to enjoy and reflect on the beauty and majesty of this land our veterans have fought to protect.”

Most park campgrounds and roads remain open, weather permitting. Deer Park and Obstruction Point roads and Altair, Deer Park, Fairholme, and South Beach campgrounds are closed for the season.

This weekend, Olympic National Park Visitor Center will be open daily from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Hoh Visitor Center will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m..

Current road information is available by calling Olympic National Park’s recorded information line at 565-3131 or online.

More information about visiting and enjoying Olympic National Park is available on the park’s website.
