Apply now for peninsula tourism grants

The Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau is accepting grant applications for 2014. Grants are available to organizations in the local area, specifically to encourage overnight visitation. Tourism in Clallam County accounts for 3,240 local jobs and $212.3 million in travel spending, according to Washington Travel Impacts 1999-2012.
Tourism Enhancement Grants are derived from revenue generated by a 4 percent hotel/motel tax on lodging facilities in unincorporated Clallam County. Most recently grants were awarded to the Olympic Adventure Trail Run, Olympic Birdfest, Tour de Lavender, Sprint Boat Races and to the Dungeness Scenic Loop. Grant guidelines and applications are available at, or call Diane at 452-8552.
