Clallam County Superior Court



Matthew Ennen, 19, Sequim, was charged Feb. 22 with one count each of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana and possession of 40 grams or less of marijuana. According to court records, Ennen allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a Feb. 20 search of his car on Taylor Cutoff Road. Arraignment was set for March 5.



Kevin Thomas White - White, 31,

Sequim, had a Feb. 19 court hearing stricken after he was taken to Olympic Medical Center. Court records say White and Christopher Paul Pruden allegedly were found in possession of Tylenol 3 pills, marijuana, baggies and a scale during a Feb. 18 search at Railroad Bridge Park. Pruden, 19, of

Sequim, was similarly charged.



Roger Dean Mallicott - Mallicott, 46, Port Angeles, had his trial rescheduled to May 3. He faces one count of vehicular homicide - DUI. A motion is pending to sever the case from that of co-defendant Lovera M. Blackcrow. According to court records, Mallicott allegedly was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 16 when he collided with Blackcrow's Ford Expedition at Dry Creek Road and Edgewood Drive in Port Angeles, resulting in the death of his passenger Shelly Bartlett.



Mary E. Upton - Upton, 43, Sequim, had her trial reset to May 17. A motion to dismiss the case will be heard April 8. Upton was charged Aug. 24 with one count of attempting to elude a pursuing police vehicle and one count of DUI-breathalyzer refusal. Court records say Upton allegedly was driving under the influence Aug. 22 on westbound U.S. Highway 101 and refused to stop for the pursuing police officer. After her arrest, Upton refused both a breathalyzer and a blood test and was booked into jail.



Manuel John Luiz - Luiz, 49, Edgewood, had his trial set for April 12 with his next court appearance on March 12. He was charged Feb. 11 with one count of possession of a stolen vehicle. According to court records, Luiz allegedly stole a Kenworth truck from Sumner, then crashed it into a telephone junction box on private property near U.S. Highway 101 and O'Brien Road on Feb. 10.



Keith O. Weyhmiller - Weyhmiller, 25, Sequim, had his trial rescheduled for May 3. He faces charges of first-degree attempted rape and second-degree assault.



Marc Ferrin - Ferrin, 44, Jefferson City, Mo., was offered a plea bargain Feb. 26 by the Washington State Attorney General's Office. He was charged Nov. 20, 2009, with one count of first-degree theft and nine counts of "criminal liability of persons making false statements or concealing information."

Ferrin, formerly of Clallam County, was offered four months in jail plus $800 in fines and court costs and $11,538.32 if he pleads guilty to one count of first-degree theft and one count of "criminal liability of persons making false statements or concealing information." Ferrin's trial is set for May 3. Court records say Ferrin allegedly doubled-billed the state Department of Labor and Industries for chiropractic services numerous times between July 2007 and April 2008.
