Lauryn Garrett, a 23-year-old Sequim woman, remains missing as of Friday, May 9. Law enforcement continues to seek any information about Garrett, who went missing May 1 and was last seen in Port Townsend.

Patrick Fudally, public information officer for Port Townsend Police Department, said his department and the Clallam County Sheriff's Department have been following leads but have not turned up any new information.

Her father, Fred Garrett, posted fliers around the area earlier seeking any information on her whereabouts.

The last time he spoke to his daughter was 7:30 p.m. May 1, after she borrowed someone's phone in Port Townsend, he said.

Fudally said they have video from the Port Townsend Safeway of Garrett after she called her father.

Fred Garrett said his daughter was on her way to Sequim from Sedro-Woolley after finishing two months in a rehabilitation center. One of Garrett's two bags were found outside Safeway, Fudally said, but that it didn't appear to be ransacked.

Ron Cameron, chief deputy Clallam County Sheriff Office, said Lauryn Garrett has been identified as a missing person.

A deputy pursued a lead last night that Cameron said was a dead end, but that deputies are ready to help in any way they can.

Port Townsend Police Department is leading the investigation. Fudally said his department is bringing in more resources over the weekend to continue the search.

Lauryn Garrett is 23, 5 feet 6 inches, with brown hair, hazel eyes, weighs 120-130 pounds and has a tattoo behind left ear of a bird and a tattoo on her hand of Washington state.

“I talked to her prior to leaving and the plan was for her to come home,” Fred Garrett said. “This is uncharacteristic for her.”

Lauryn Garrett is 2009 Sequim High School graduate.

Law enforcement ask that if you see Garrett, call 9-1-1. With any new information on her whereabouts, call the JeffCom Communications at 360-385-3831, ext. 1, and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office at 360-417-2459.
