One hurt east of Sequim in early August crash

A Port Angeles woman was hurt in a two-car collision at about 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, on U.S. Highway 101 about one mile east of Sequim.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Jo L. Buettner, 65, of Port Angeles, was injured and transported to Olympic Medical Center after her Ford station wagon collided with a Chrysler four-door car driven by Ludovico R. Cristofaro, 72, of Chehalis.

Cristofaro and passenger Daniela M. Cristofaro, 70, also of Chehalis, were not hurt in the wreck.

According to the state patrol, Cristofaro’s vehicle was stopped for traffic eastbound on Highway 101 when Buettner’s vehicle struck the Chrysler in the rear end.

Buettner will be charged with speeding, the state patrol indicated in an incident report.
