Steichen gets Rotary award

Lorah Steichen is Sequim Middle School's Student of the Month for November.
Steichen and her family moved to Sequim eight years ago and she's been in Sequim schools since kindergarten. Her favorite school subjects are history, language arts, algebra and the History Day project. Outside of school, she enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, watching sporting events with her family, helping out in the community and hanging out with her friends.
Steichen says she plans to attend college and get her undergraduate and master's degree, then become a language arts/history teacher. Steichen has two brothers - Parker, a sophomore at Sequim High School, and twin Lane, an eighth-grader at Sequim Middle School.
