Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team investigators found 50 "healthy and growing" marijuana plants after serving a search warrant in Blyn on May 7.
Four people have been arrested and charged for allegedly being a part of the operation. Michael Garbocci, 33, and his girlfriend, Christina Simpson, 29, each face charges in Clallam County Superior Court. Garbocci faces five counts, one for the manufacture of marijuana, one for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and three for delivery of marijuana. Simpson faces two counts for delivery of marijuana and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.
The third suspect is Rusty Lee, 30, from Oregon but working in Seattle. Lee faces a single count of delivery of marijuana.
Edmond Perez, 26, of
Sequim, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and two counts for delivery of marijuana
OPNET initiated an investigation into the alleged sale of marijuana at the Blyn residence located on the 271000 block of U.S. Highway 101 earlier this year in response to citizen complaints.
Officers reportedly found and confiscated more than two pounds of processed and packaged marijuana as well as a large amount of cash during the search of the residence. Officers also reportedly found a marijuana growing operation in one of the detached buildings, which contained 50 plants in different stages of growth, growing equipment and equipment used to extract the active ingredient in marijuana to create an oil-like substance for smoking.
Simpson allegedly told officers the marijuana they sell comes from California and that the suspects take turns driving south for pickups. Both Simpson and Garbocci allegedly met Lee in southern Washington to obtain about a half-pound of the drug.
Although initially booked into the Clallam County Correctional Facility, the three were released without bail after their first appearances, with the requirement that they do not contact each other.
