The Sequim Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced results from its recent election, which includes two new additions to the board.

Casey Blake, of Blake Sand and Gravel, and Jean Wyatt, of Sequim, were chosen by chamber members to begin new three-year terms on the board of directors starting Oct. 1.

Ron Gilles, of Professional Real Estate, and Deborah Rambo Sinn, of Olympic Music School, were re-elected to their seats at the table.

The four newly elected individuals will join eight other seated board members who were not up for re-election, who include Bill Littlejohn, board president, Scott Clausen, board treasurer, Ron Bell, Lizbeth Harper, Damian Humphries, Steve Rosales, Bill Thomas and Emily Westcott.

The election was held earlier this year than in previous years as the chamber board of directors amended its bylaws to change its "year" from a January-to-December range to an October-to-September year.

Ballots for the election were sent out with the Sequim-Dungeness Valley Chamber of Commerce's newsletter to all members of the organization, which includes many businesses in the area.

Dave Wiitala, with Sequim Bible Church, counted the ballots and certified the results.

The first meeting of the new complete board will be Oct. 9 and the chamber membership and board have a luncheon at noon the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road. The cost for the lunch is $10.
