‘Fireproof My Marriage’

Calvary Chapel Sequim joins churches throughout North America to hear a simulcast called “Fireproof My Marriage” from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, live via satellite on Church Communication Network, CCN.

The conference features marriage experts and best-selling authors Dr. Gary Smalley and Dr. Les Parrott.

The conference is intended to help couples discover the source and the language of lasting love. ¬â€

The “Fireproof My Marriage” simulcast is part of a comprehensive, nationwide marriage campaign coordinated with the national release of “Fireproof,” a feature-length movie starring Kirk Cameron.

From Sherwood Pictures, the creators of “Facing the Giants,” “Fireproof” is described as a story of perseverance and commitment that explores God’s design for relationships and marriage.

Joining Parrott and Smalley are the film’s directors and brothers Alex Kendrick and Stephen Kendrick, pastor and producer Michael Catt and pastor Ted Cunningham.

Catt, senior pastor of Sherwood Baptist Church, executive producer and featured simulcast speaker said, “We believe good stories can have a good effect. This film was made by a small army of people who poured into something bigger than themselves — into not just a movie, but a movement to restore and uplift marriages across the country.”

Tickets are $40 per couple or $20 per person, which includes lunch and child care.¬â€
