Small in size but getting a big send off, five students from Olympic Christian School earned their high school diplomas this June.

Led by valedictorian Jessica Leigh Heath, the students joined friends, family and staff in commencement ceremonies at the Independent Bible Church in Port Angeles on June 11.

Heath, a Peninsula College Running Start student and resident of Port Angeles, plans to continue at Peninsula College, learn foreign language and tutor in the English as a Second Language program. She also hopes to study abroad in Costa Rica and at the Capernwray Bible College in the United Kingdom.

Heath's scholarships include: Wilder Auto Scholarship, $200; Tim and Kristi Lusk Scholarship, $100; and a Wenner-Davis Scholarship, $150.

Marisa Lael Christopher, an Agnew resident, plans to attend Western Washington University majoring in arts or biology, possibly continuing into commercial advertising or veterinary medicine. She hopes to be able to play for the Western soccer and softball teams. She has the distinction of being the only graduating senior in 2009 to attend all her years at Olympic Christian School, from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Nerissa Adèlle Davison, also an Agnew resident, attends Peninsula College through the Running Start program. Davison plans to continue at Peninsula College and obtain an Associate of Arts degree, then transfer to a four-year college and possibly pursue a pharmacy career.

Davison's scholarships include: Domino's Scholarship, $250; Wilder Auto Scholarship, $200; Tim and Kristi Lusk Scholarship, $100; and a Wenner-Davis Scholarship, $150.

James Clair Russell of Port Angeles plans to study computer technology and learn more about the Bible.

Port Angeles' Sarah Ashley Jones received a scholarship to continue her studies at DeVry University.

Jones' scholarships include: Wilder Auto Scholarship, $200; Tim and Kristi Lusk Scholarship, $100; Wenner-Davis Scholarship, $150; and a DeVry Scholarship, $1,000.
