Computers keep rolling in and out the door for OlyPen's Computers for Community Program.

Started about a month ago, the program recycles computers and monitors and then donates them to families selected by the Sequim Kiwanis.

OlyPen salesman and program organizer Chris Lelle said they have received more than 30 computers since starting and 50 monitors.

The latest beneficiary, foster families with North Olympic Foster Parent Association, received two computers on Sept. 15 and a third for a later date.

"This provides the children a chance to further their education in a home atmosphere," said Carol Pope, president of NOFPA.

Recipients were Julie and Perry Stockert from Port Angeles and John Golbeck from Sequim.

The Stockerts have seven children; four are fostered and three are adopted. They are in process of adopting two of the four foster children.

Golbeck has eight children; two are fostered and six are adopted.

All plan for the children to use the computers on homework.

Those involved in NOFPA and who are interested in receiving a computer can contact Pope at 681-6521or carol@allsafe-storage.com.

OlyPen, 245 E. Washington St., is open for donations

8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday,

Lelle can be reached at 683-1456 or billing@olypen.com.
