Priest Road Center re-emerges

A redesigned Priest Road Center site plan will be reviewed by the Sequim Planning Commission at its Oct. 6 meeting, said Sequim associate planner Joe Irvin.
But the development still lacks tenants, he said.
The shopping center proposed July 2008 and delayed in March 2009 is planned to have four buildings totaling 70,775 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space on six acres.
It would surround the Schuck's Auto Supply store on the northeast corner of the Priest Road and West Washington Street intersection, across Priest Road from Walmart.
The developer is Sequim-Y3K LLC, which includes Ed and Kathrin Sumpter of Sequim and Frederick and Donna Garner of Gresham, Ore.
Irvin said the new design has the same parking, development phases and square footage but the developer worked hard to slow down traffic in the parking lots.
The development's binding site plan will be reviewed by the planning commission at its Tuesday, Oct. 6, meeting in the Sequim Transit Center, 190 W. Cedar St. Then a public hearing before the city council will follow.
The Sequim Planning Commission intended to consider the project in March 2008 but it was delayed by questions from Clallam County about storm water management.
