The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula kicks off its Campaign for Kids Saturday, April 10.
From 11 a.m.-3 p.m. the Sequim club, 400 W. Fir St., hosts its first Spring Fling open house with tours, activities and curriculum demonstrations.
“We want the public to see how we do this because it’s more than just a place for kids to play basketball — it’s a lot more,” said volunteer Stephen Rosales.
Now through Aug. 31, volunteers and staff will send letters, make phone calls and go door-to-door asking for assistance.
From April 10-Aug. 31, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula looks to raise $70,000 for children’s services in the Sequim and Port Angeles clubs.
