Clallam County PUD utility services advisor Mattias Järvegren will explain how home remodeling projects can cost less and be more energy efficient at Saturday's Sequim Earth Day celebrations.
Järvegren's free one-hour presentation, "Power Up Your Remodel with Energy Tax Credits and PUD Rebates," is noon-1 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St.
Järvegren has been involved in more than 1,100 residential and 70 commercial energy conservation projects since coming to Clallam County PUD in 2005. The energy savings achieved as a result of his work are equivalent to the annual electricity needs of 270 homes.
The PUD will have a booth at the Boys & Girls Club from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Järvegren will be available throughout that time.
