An open house for Patrick Downie will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, May 14, at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles.
Downie retires from his position as program coordinator for the Volunteer Chore Services program in Clallam County that day after more than 12 years with Catholic Community Services.
He plans to spend more time with family and devote as much time as possible to responsibilities as a member of the Port Angeles City Council.
Teri Wensits, who has served as the VCS intake specialist/office assistant since September 2003, steps into the program coordinator position.
