Clallam County Fire District 3 firefighters climbed tall heights, ripped through car doors and put out fires at their annual Super Saturday training event.
Twenty-two volunteers and full-time firefighters participated June 19 at Fairview School.
They went into a high temperature burn box, saved a “dummy” from a rolled over vehicle, raced up ladders and more.
The event fulfilled the annual requirement that firefighters must have live fire training. Super Saturday runs in conjunction with the districtwide campaign to recruit volunteers in preparation for a Firefighter Recruit Class to be scheduled within the year.
