Clallam County athletes and others (emphasis on others) turned out in droves for the fourth annual Outrageous Olympics, Fri., Nov. 5.
With 12 teams of four competing, the event raised $5,700 for Clallam County United Way.
Event coordinator Jamye Wisecup called it “a unique fundraiser for United Way and the participants. I have always enjoyed the dining and camaraderie of fundraising dinner events in Clallam County, but this is a totally different twist. The humor, laughter and great spirits contributed to the camaraderie of working together to raise much-needed dollars, but this was pure fun as well.”
Wisecup thanked those who helped make the event a success, including the volunteers and all of the businesses that contributed. She also thanked the teams for their enthusiasm and effort and gave a grateful nod as well to those who ponied up for prizes.
Sign up now for next year,” she says. For more information, see the website at unitedwayclallam.org.
