Two Sequim teens charged with burglarizing a tattoo parlor pleaded not guilty in Clallam County Superior Court.

Tyler Townsend and Jordan Hartman, both 19 and of Sequim, are accused of breaking into The Tattoo Guy shop at 618 E. Washington St. on Nov. 29 during a power outage.

Townsend faces felony charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree malicious mischief and second-degree theft.

Clallam County Deputy Prosecutor John Troberg alleges Townsend caused more than $750 damage to the tattoo parlor and stole a paint ball gun worth more than $750.

Townsend pleaded not guilty Dec. 17 through his attorney Larry Freedman. Freedman was appointed by Judge Ken Williams because the Public Defender’s Office is representing one of Townsend’s co-defendants, a juvenile.

Lane Wolfley, of Port Angeles, was similarly appointed to represent Hartman, who pleaded not guilty to a second-degree burglary charge Dec. 10. Second-degree burglary is a Class B felony.

The juvenile, who is not named because of his age, pleaded not guilty in Clallam County Juvenile Court Dec. 2 to charges of second-degree burglary and second-degree malicious mischief.
