Flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday

Gov. Christine Gregoire has directed that Washington and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, Feb. 1, in memory of Washington State Department of Corrections Officer Jayme Biendl of Granite Falls, who was killed Saturday at the Monroe Correctional Complex.
Flags should remain at half-staff until the close of business Tuesday or first thing Wednesday morning, Feb. 2.
