State Rep. Kevin Van De Wege (D-Sequim) has endorsed Jack Slowriver for Olympic Medical Center Commissioner in District 3, Position 2.
“Kevin’s endorsement means a great deal to me,” said Slowriver, who is the area services manager for Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest. “Putting aside his record as a public official, Kevin works day-to-day as a firefighter and paramedic, so he knows our community’s health care challenges at their most extreme and urgent.”
Van De Wege, a lieutenant firefighter and paramedic in Sequim, is the senior state representative of the 24th Legislative District, which includes all of Clallam and Jefferson counties and parts of Grays Harbor.
“Kevin understands the enormity of the problems we are dealing with, so I am very honored that he believes I am the person to safeguard the taxpayer’s investment in OMC and improve health care services for our entire community,” Slowriver said.
