Attack of the Blogs!

Those who just can’t get enough of the Sequim Gazette’s great writing and photography are in for a treat.

Beginning this week, five Gazette staffers have fired up new blogs, providing even more of our award-winning content, including fresh news, commentary, jokes, photos and more good stuff that just won’t fit in the weekly print edition.

Ace photographer Jay Cline writes “Where Am I?” which isn’t, as you may have guessed, an existential quest, but rather an ongoing game to see if you can determine the location pictured in one of Cline’s photos.

Gazette reporter Mark Couhig writes “Shut Up When I’m Talking,” a desperate and occasionally successful attempt at finding humor in this, the 58th year of his otherwise dreary and nondescript life.
That includes jokes, football commentary and when he can’t think of anything to say, photos.

Sequim Gazette editor Mike Dashiell, the sports guru of gurus, provides more of his award-winning commentary on the games people play with “Another Blog on the Fire,” his at-least weekly look at whatever is on his mind, including insight into local teams and players.

In his blog, “Number One Authority on Nothing,” Matt Nash displays his breathtakingly expansive knowledge and expertise on nothing in particular, and occasionally, on specifically nothing. In his spare time, Nash enjoys comic books, graphic novels and cartoons.

Gazette reporter Amanda Winters brings her unique perspective to events, ideas and stuff in Sequim in her blog, “At Winters’ End.” Winters’ perspective on Sequim is all the more rare because she’s actually young, or at least youngish.

The bloggers also want to hear from their readers and to that end conveniently have provided a place at the bottom of each blog for reader rants, raves and even the occasional thoughtful and restrained comment.

To enjoy the blogs, check in regularly at www.sequimgazette.com/blogs. (There also is a link on the Gazette’s home page.)
