A 21-year-old Port Angeles woman is charged with unlawfully entering a Sequim home Dec. 26, damaging the door frame and vandalizing a car parked on the property.

In court documents, Sequim police said Kirsten “Kacee” Cabrini Cook forced her way into a home in the 100 block of Marlo Drive, assaulted an 18-year-old and damaged the teen’s car.

Cook forced open a locked door, breaking the door jam and bending the deadbolt lock and latch plates, police said.

She then assaulted Kiley Jo Layman, who was a visitor in the home, police said.

Cook allegedly punched Layman in the head, ripped out her earrings and pulled out her hair extensions.

During the assault, Layman’s hand was injured and her cell phone face shattered, police said.

While on the property, Cook carved long, thin gouges in the paint of Layman’s car, down both sides and across the hood, police said.

Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney Deb Kelly filed first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree malicious mischief charges Dec. 27 in Clallam County Superior Court.

Cook was arrested by Sequim police and released on her own recognizance. Her arraignment is set for Jan. 6.
