Vehicle fire found, subdued in Petco parking lot

Personnel and equipment from Clallam County Fire District #3 responded this morning to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Petco, 1205 W. Washington St.
They found a later-model Ford F-250 with flames and smoke coming out of the engine and passenger compartments.
The vehicle's owner said the truck was running oddly, and that he drove to a parking space before noticing the fire. Fire crews quickly knocked down the flames.
Other vehicles parked near the fire were safely moved away. No injuries were reported.
Three units were on scene with a total of eight firefighters.
Patrick Young, Public Information Officers for Clallam County Fire District #3, said the investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
