Local dogs’ haven to run, play and let off some steam celebrates five years this Saturday.
Sequim Dog Park Pals hosts a birthday party for the Sequim Dog Park in Carrie Blake Park, 202 Blake Ave., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 30.
The day includes multiple events:
• Pet item rummage sale
• Raffle with gift certificates and baskets, and dog items.
• K-9 Chase, Sequim Police dog, demonstration, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• Bordetella vaccinations, $15, micro-chipping, $30, provided by Sequim Animal Hospital, noon-2 p.m.
• Dog ID cards
• Birthday cupcakes
• Dog training information
Used every day by dogs and their owners, the park is split into small and large dog areas. The city maintains the grass and rotates dogs off one of the three fields at a time.
Donations from the event will be used for benches, dog waste bags, gravel, signage and other future expenses.
