Yes, there’s the fragrance of lavender, but the allure of sweet tunes is just as big a part of Sequim Lavender Weekend.

Both the Sequim Lavender Festival and Sequim Lavender Farm Faire host a multitude of musicians and special events July 20-22.

Lavender Farm Faire

As part of its Heritage Farms on Tour, the Sequim Lavender Farm Faire, sponsored by the Sequim Lavender Farm Association, offers a full schedule of music at each of its farms.

Lavender in the Park at the James Center for Performing Arts brings dancing to the lawn and music ranging from jazz to rock to country.

The 133rd Army Band kicks off the ceremony at the band shell at 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, with gardening personality Ciscoe Morris at 11 a.m.

The lineup includes Pearl Django, a Gypsy jazz band influenced by Django Reinhardt, which plays at 12:45 p.m. and again at 3:15 p.m.

Pearl Django also will join the sixth annual Jazz in the Alley at 6 p.m. Friday evening at the BrokersGroup, 219 W. Washington St.

The farm faire also co-sponsors the farewell concert of local favorites Abby Mae and the Home School Boys at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Olympic Cellars Winery. Tickets are $10.
