Sequim Scouts grow fruit fundraiser

From the tree to your pantry in 24-48 hours, Sequim Boy Scout Troop 1492 offers another delivery of organically grown fruit to help pay for trips and hikes. An Eastern Washington farmer has partnered with the Sequim Scouts to donate a portion of all sales to the troop. He grows the fruit in a pesticide-free environment.
Scouts delivered peaches, pears, nectarines and cider in August, and are selling certified cases of organic apples — Braeburn, Fuji, Granny Smith and Pink Lady — and nonalcoholic cider. The order deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 3, for a Nov. 10 delivery to Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Fifth Ave.
Orders can be placed online at www.ScoutFruit.com, by e-mail at ScoutFruit@gmail.com or by calling Robert Streett at 460-9779. Call Streett to place an order by the mail.
