On Oct. 11, the third suspect believed to have been involved in two armed robberies that occurred in July in Clallam County was arrested and booked into the Clallam County Correctional Facility. Benjamin Myles Wetzler, 19, was arrested in the early morning hours by Poulsbo police during a routine traffic stop.

On Aug. 16, the Clallam County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for Wetzler with a bond fixed in the sum of $750,000 for the crimes of robbery in the first degree/firearm enhancement, burglary in the first degree/firearm enhancement, unlawful imprisonment/firearm enhancement, trafficking in stolen property in the first degree, attempted robbery in the first degree/firearm enhancement, attempted burglary in the first degree/firearm enhancement.

Detectives from the Clallam County Criminal Investigation Bureau coordinated with the Patrol Division to transport Wetzler from the Kitsap County jail where he was being held to the Clallam County jail.

Detectives also seized Wetzler’s Black 1995 BMW because it was used in the commission of multiple felony crimes.

Clallam County detectives have been pursuing Wetzler for the robberies and they had information he was living in Oregon. Detectives recently had contacted family members who reached out to Wetzler in Oregon. It is believed Wetzler was on his way back to Clallam County to turn himself in when he was arrested.

All suspects have been arrested who are believed to have been involved in the robberies.
