Center offers Aging Options Senior Fair

The Port Angeles Senior Center will host its free Aging Options Senior Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the center, 328 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles.

The fair is designed for community members 45 and older (adult children and their parents, etc.) and it brings a host of professionals, volunteer groups and other civic organizations with information about a variety of topics such as general health and wellness, Medicare basics, elder fraud prevention, finances, independent living, power of attorney issues, wealth transfers, hospice and palliative care, and more.

The event features free healthcare screenings, such as balance screenings, blood pressure checks, pulse diagnostics and cardio risk assessment.

The fair presents a number of speakers who each will give a 10-minute talk, then open the floor for a short Q&A session.

Attendees can look at the schedule of topics and come for the portion they’re interested in during this four-hour event; you don’t need to come for the full four hours.
