City hires new manager

The City of Sequim has hired Barry Berezowsky as the new community development manager effective June 12. Berezowsky replaces Chris Hugo, who retired on May 22.

Berezowsky worked for the City of Poulsbo for over 17 years in the Planning Department and served as the director of Planning and Economic Development for the past 12 years. He has extensive knowledge of the Washington State Growth Management Act and has experience in long-range planning and the Washington State Main Street program.

Berezowsky holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts from the Department of Geography and Regional Development at the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia.
