After completing 720 hours of training at the Basic Law Enforcement Academy in Burien, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Mark Titterness is on to the next step toward a patrol position in Sequim and Port Angeles.
Titterness graduated from the academy as part of Class 732 on June 21, earning state peace officer certification.
Titterness soon will begin field training, consisting of an additional 560 hours (14 weeks) of tutelage under the supervision of a Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Field Training Officer.
He came to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office as a corrections deputy in December 2011. Prior to that, he was an officer for the Kansas State Department of Corrections.
Titterness and his family live in Sequim.
