Several voter registration deadlines are quickly approaching for area residents looking to cast a 2017 Special Election ballot in February.

Clallam County residents have until Monday, Jan. 16, to register by mail or online, transfer their voter registration from another Washington county or update their current voter registration.

Those registering online can do so through MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov.

Registered voters also may update their voter information through that website or by contacting Clallam County Elections at 417-2221 or jmaxion@co.clallam.wa.us.

New Washington state voters have until Feb. 6 to register in person at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

The special election will be nearly countywide, with school levies on the ballots of voters living in the Sequim, Port Angeles and Quillayute Valley school districts.

Only registered voters living in the aforementioned three school districts will receive a ballot.

Ballots will be mailed on Jan. 25. Election Day is Tuesday, Feb. 14.
