Fire Distrct 3 puts out motorhome fire

Fire District 3 personnel respond to a motorhome on fire at about 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, on Highway 101 just east of Sidmars Road Overpass. Units found a fully engulfed 1993 Minnie Winnie Motorhome partially blocking the eastbound lane and shoulder. The fire started in the engine. Fire District 3 with the assistance of Washington State Patrol closed both directions of the highway to distinguish the fire. The fire was put out after 25 minutes. The driver was a lone occupant of the vehicle from Tacoma and was able to remove herself prior to the fire involving the passenger compartment. Photo courtesy of Fire District 3
