IRS-certified AARP TAX-AIDE volunteers continue to prepare and electronically file tax returns at the Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St. Sequim. Volunteers will be available two more days: Wednesday, April 11, and Saturday, April 14, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
This quality tax preparation service is free of charge. The TAX-AIDE program is sponsored by the IRS and the AARP Foundation, and is available for low-and- moderate-income taxpayers of all ages.
The AARP TAX-AIDE volunteers are authorized to prepare most basic tax returns, making sure that the taxpayer receives all eligible deductions and credits. Whether a first-time taxpayer, a student, a working family, or a retiree, the TAX-AIDE volunteers are there to help. Service will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis; no appointment is required.
