General Election voter deadlines approaching

Several voter registration deadlines are quickly approaching for area residents looking to cast a ballot in the 2018 General Election in November.

Clallam County residents have until Monday, Oct. 8 to register by mail or online, transfer their voter registration from another Washington county, or update their current voter registration.

Those registering online can do so through MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov.

Registered voters may also update their voter information through that website or by contacting Clallam County Elections at 360-417-2221 or elections@co.clallam.wa.us.

Ballots for the 2018 General Election will be mailed to all registered Clallam County voters on Wednesday, Oct. 17. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.

New Washington state voters have until Oct. 29, to register in person at the Auditor’s Office in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, to participate in the General Election.

A printed statewide voters’ pamphlet will be mailed to all Washington state residences the week of Oct. 6-13. A local online voters’ guide is also available on the Clallam County Elections website at www.clallam.net/elections.
