Marysville man arrested in crime spree

A Marysville man was arrested last week in connection with a stolen vehicle and theft.

Conrad J. Edwards, 42, was arrested on Aug. 18 at 7 Cedars Casino by Clallam County Deputy Don Kitchen on charges that include Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Theft in the Third Degree.

According to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office, Edwards gave a ride to a man from the Tulalip Casino in Tulalip, Wa., to Sequim in exchange for gas money. While at the nearby Longhouse Market & Deli, Edwards left with the other man’s backpack containing his personal belongings; the sheriff’s office was notified. Later in the evening, employees at 7 Cedars Casino located the suspect’s vehicle and Edwards, who was inside the casino.

Edwards was arrested for a Department of Corrections warrant for Escape from Community Custody (failure to check in with his community corrections officer). Law enforcement officials determined that the vehicle Edwards was driving had been stolen out of Snohomish County. A search warrant executed on the vehicle resulted in the recovery of most of the victim’s personal property.

It was later learned that Edwards had assaulted a male in Lakewood and in the process had been shot in the left buttock; Edwards was seen by Clallam Fire District 3 medics on the scene and transported to the hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in any information about Edwards’s series of criminal activity; specifically, his involvement in an assault and gunshot injury. Call 360-417-2262 to report information; the case number is 2018-18458.
