Museum opens registration for August Days Car Show

Sequim Museum & Arts continues its benefit car show as the Sequim August Days Car Show later this month.

All vehicles — cars, trucks, and motorcycles — from all years are welcome to participate 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Sequim High School Athletic Field, 601 N. Sequim Ave., at the intersection of North Sequim Avenue and West Hendrickson Road.

Pre-registration is $12 at www.sequimmuseum.com or by calling Bill Seabolt at 360-670-3810.

Cost the day of the show is $15 with registration opening at 7:30 a.m.

Judy Reandeau Stipe, the museum’s executive director, said there are “a lot of one-of-a-kind vehicles in the area” to show off.

“We’re all about yesterday’s cars, today’s carts and the cars of the future,” she said.

Proceeds go to continued completion of the museum’s new building at 544 N. Sequim Ave.

Reandeau Stipe said about 90 percent of proceeds after expenses support finishing displays, landscaping and more projects in and outside of the museum, along with supporting continued art and education programs.

Sequim’s new museum is the first in Clallam County in 40 years, she said.

It opens 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday or by appointment by calling 360-681-2257 or emailing to sequimmuseum@olypen.com.
