National Day of Prayer event set for Sequim barn

Pray Olympic Peninsula, formerly Clallam Prayer, hosts a special program “Love One Another” for the National Day of Prayer on May 2.

The Barn at Cole Farm, 577 West Sequim Bay Road, hosts the special prayer and worship event 5:30-8 p.m. with music from church leaders Jonathan Simonson and David Isaac Rivers.

The Promise of Life Cafe offers free food 5:30-6:30 p.m. with a program to follow 7-8 p.m.

According to its website, The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
