Teachers and students brought out their striped topped hats and whiskers yet again for Read Across America Day on March 1.
See a slideshow from the event here.
Helen Haller Elementary classrooms continued the tradition of hosting Sequim High Schoolers for 30 minute reading sessions as part of the National Education Association’s annual event celebrating the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss.
Students read an array of books to one another ranging from the popular “Dog Man” series to nonfiction books to Dr. Seuss’ library.
This year, Sequim Middle School did not travel to Greywolf Elementary to read with students, but classrooms at the elementary did participate on their own.
