SHS seniors prep for annual flamingo fundraiser

They’re baaaaack.

Sequim high school seniors and their helpers are bringing back their flamingo flocking fundraiser this spring, an annual event to raise money for food, decorations and prizes at the seniors’ Safe and Sober Graduation Party in June.

Flocking will begin on April 9 and run through June 2.

The fundraiser goes like this: two or three seniors place a flock of plastic flamingos in a residents’ yard or place of business; the lead flamingo will have a pouch around its neck, where the recipient will find a letter where they can attach their donation ($25 is recommended). A $35 donation allows the recipient to send the flock to a specific address. The evening after the flock’s arrival, the same senior students take the flock to another location.

Those who prefer not to be flocked but wish to donate may send contributions to: Sequim Graduation, Party P.O. Box 4, Carlsborg WA, 98324 (please include the address so organizers can add to a Do Not Flock List). For more information, email to Flamingoflocking2018@gmail.com.
