Snow fells family barn

Mike and Judy Flynn of Sequim discovered their 60-year-old barn collapsed due to the snow sometime over night on Feb. 13. Judy said her father Jay Robinson, whom their road is named after, constructed it with recycled lumber for milking cows and to store hay but in recent years her family kept snow tires, lumber and other items inside.

“The interesting part is that we have had plans to tear it down and replace it with a large garage, but it was a big job,” she said.

“I guess nature helped us. It breaks my heart because my dad built it, and it holds sweet memories.”
