Soroptimist’s garden show continues to plant seeds in Sequim

Plenty of locals and visitors helped pack the 21st annual Soroptimist Gala Garden Show over the weekend.

Organizers estimate about 2,075 people, not including children 12 and younger, and Soroptimist members, attended the show on March 16-17 in the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.

Attendees listened in on panels from local gardening experts on vegetables, berries and more. They also sought advice and/or goods and services from 40-plus vendors.

“All in all, we thought it was a successful show and that was echoed by vendors and attendees,” said Soroptimist member Shelle Paulbitski.

The show is put on by the Soroptimist International of Sequim, which has empowered women and girls for 70-plus years. For more information, visit sisequim.org.
