With friends and family and acquaintances looking on, the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery saw its debut Friday night.
The gallery was named by city leaders for Kuznek-Reese, a longtime city clerk and arts advocate who died of cancer on Nov. 14.
“She was not only the city clerk, she had a real passion for the arts,” said Sharon Delabarre of the City Arts Advisory Commission. “We were absolutely delighted to bring forth the recommendation.”
Kuznek-Reese’s husband Robb Reese said that when Karen was told about the gallery naming she said, “Why me? It’s just so prestigious.”
Reese added, “I think Karen was a true mentor for a lot of people.”
