Two hurt in head-on wreck on Highway 101 near Blyn

Two people were transported to Olympic Medical Center after a head-on wreck on U.S. Highway 101 near Blyn early Sunday morning.

Riley Steven Hazard of Sequim, 23, and Shantell Ann Merie Taylor of Port Townsend, 20, were both transported to Olympic Medical Center with injuries, according to the State Patrol. They were not listed as patients Sunday afternoon.

According to the State Patrol, Hazard crossed the center line at about 2:42 a.m. Sunday near milepost 273. Both vehicles were totally destroyed.

The cause remains under investigation, but drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to the State Patrol.
