Construction crew needed for 2010 float
The Irrigation Festival float is one of the most visible parts of the festival as it travels to approximately 16 parades throughout the year and represents Sequim around Western Washington. The festival committee is searching for a new float construction chairman as well as a float designer for the upcoming festival year.

More people in Clallam County are trying to quit smoking using the state's toll-free Tobacco Quit Line. In April 2009, 74 people called the quit line, compared to an average monthly call of 33 last year - a 124-percent increase.
