Herman T. Murillo Sr.
A memorial service for Sequim resident Herman T. Murillo Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Sequim Little League Field, 124 W. Silberhorn Road, Sequim.
Mr. Murillo died Aug. 27, 2009, at the age of 70.
He was born May 28, 1939, in Reseda, Calif.

Roger Wayne Kinkead
A memorial service for the Rev. Roger Wayne Kinkead will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 923 N.
Sequim Ave., Sequim. Bishop Rob Hofstad and the Rev. Jack Anderson will preside. A reception immediately follows.
Mr. Kinkead died Aug. 24, 2009, at the age of 62.
A service also will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Forks with the Revs. Pamela Hunter and Ron Hoyum presiding.
He was born July 17, 1947, in West Seattle, to Douglas and Madge Smith Kinkead. He preceded his mother in death by mere hours.
He attended Simpson Bible College in San Francisco, Calif., on a full music scholarship and toured with the ensemble "Nine Singing Men."
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968-1972 and earned the rank of MSTI, E-6, working as a sonar/weather forecaster stationed in Key West, Fla.; Governor's Island, N.Y.; and Port Angeles.
After he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at Seattle Pacific University magna cum laude in 1974, he graduated with the first of three master's degrees from Fuller Seminary in California with a major in church history in 1976.
He began doctoral studies in medieval studies at the University of Washington in 1978, then earned a master's in divinity in 1980 from Wartburg Seminary in 1980 and a Master of Arts degree in counseling in 1988 from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma.
After his ordination on Sept. 7, 1980, at First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach in Seattle, he was installed as pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Forks on Sept. 21, 1980.
His 29 years of ministry also included churches in Gig Harbor, Edgewood, Bremerton, Lakewood, Longview, Puyallup and Port Angeles. He retired from active ministry in 2008.
He married Rachelle "Shele" Windt in 1977.
Besides his wife and their cats Dante and Burton, he is survived by his father Douglas Kinkead; brother Brian Kinkead; brother and sister-in-law Douglas and Gayle Kinkead and their two children; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law David and Radka Windt; and Harold and Meiko Windt; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Geremi and Ronnie Windt; two nephews and one niece.

Robert James Moore
A family memorial service for Sequim resident Robert James Moore will be held at a later date.
Mr. Moore died Aug. 3, 2009, at the age of 90 of pneumonia.
He was born March 14, 1919, in Pomona, Calif., to Robert G. and Mabel Bartlett Moore.
He married Mary E. Moore on Aug. 18, 1942.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force. A first lieutenant, he served as a navigator from Feb. 27, 1941, to Oct. 31, 1945, in the 850th Bombardment Squadron and the 480th Bombardment Group. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, three Oak Leaf Clusters, European-African Theater Campaign ribbon with five bronze stars and the Purple Heart.
Mr. Moore was an electronic engineer with TRW Systems Space Program.
The Moores moved to Sequim in 1971. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Mary Moore of Sequim; son Robert Moore Jr. of Gig Harbor; daughters Pamela Bedford of Sequim; Peggy Borst of Saugus, Calif.; and Patty Moore of
Sequim; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Charles Jack
No service has been reported for Sequim resident Charles Jack, who died Aug. 23, 2009, at the age of 77 of cancer.
He was born Dec. 5, 1931, in San Pedro, Calif.

Marjorie E. Denne
Private family services will be held for Sequim resident Marjorie E. Denne, who died Aug. 28, at the age of 85.
A former Port Townsend resident, she was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Murphy, Idaho.
